If the registration fee is a barrier, we encourage you to consider raising your own participation fee with small fundraising efforts. Many survivors find this a rewarding way to share their story and invite friends, family, and their community to support them.
Fundraising does not have to be complicated. Even small efforts can make a big difference. Some ideas include:
  • Asking friends or family to sponsor your lap
  • Inviting someone to make a donation on your behalf
  • Asking a local business if they would like to be our bursary sponsor for $500.00 and remove the cost barrier for 10 people
  • Running a bottle drive by collecting deposit-return bottles from neighbors, friends, or family
  • Collecting small pledges for your walk/run/roll
If you decide to participate, please also consider asking friends and family to donate toward the event to help BIAWW continue supporting people living with brain injuries.
Together we can make Lakeside Laps a celebration of resilience, community, and awareness. We hope you will walk or roll with us!
