Heels & Wheels 5 K Run/Walk, 1 K Walk/Roll

The 1st annual Heels & Wheels 5 K Run/Walk, 1K Walk/Roll, kicked off on June 2nd at Bingemans in Kitchener. Heels & Wheels is an event for Brain Injury Awareness Month and it was developed to promote brain injury awareness and raise funds for the programming of the Brain Injury Association of Waterloo-Wellington. Participants enjoyed a beautiful early summer morning running or walking along the Walter Bean Trail rejoicing in life and celebrating with those who came so far in their recovery process. Together our sponsors and participants raised $25,000 after expenses. We could not have been as successful without their support.  We want to thank all who sponsored, donated pledges, our participants who registered and paid fees and our participants who raised extra funds through fundraising.
