Lidz on Kidz Helmets

Every year too many children die or suffer serious head injuries that could have been prevented if they were wearing a properly fitted and the correct helmet for the sports or activities they play.

Community Efforts

Lidz on Kidz is a community effort dedicated to providing bicycle helmets to children in need. Since 2020, and with the support of many community sponsors, BIAWW has provided over 5,500 FREE bike and winter sport helmets to families in the region who cannot otherwise afford them!   We are excited to make this program a yearly event each spring.  Follow us on social media for up to date event information.

How to measure what size helmet your child needs: Use a soft measuring tape to measure the head circumference, about 1 cm above the eyebrows ensuring that the tape is at the same height all around the head. Or use a piece of string then measure the length of the string.
